About Me
Dr. Bradley's research group seeks to understand how immune responses are regulated and to use these tools to engineer immunity. Prior to joining Children's Mercy, Dr. Bradley was Director of Viral Genetic Analysis and Assistant Professor of Medicine at the Human Vaccine Institute at the Duke University Medical Center. Dysregulation of the immune system can result in an over-stimulated immune response as observed in allergy and autoimmune disorders, or a poor immune response that results in susceptibility to infection and cancer. Dr. Bradley uses genomic technologies to dissect the molecular and cellular mechanisms that shape the immune response and determine how human genetics impacts an individual immunity in order to identify biomarkers and pathways that can be targeted to improve immunotherapies and vaccines.
