Dr. Bansal completed his residency training in Internal Medicine at New York Medical College, New York. Subsequently, he served as the Chief Resident at New York Medical College, New York. Then he completed his Gastroenterology Fellowship from the University Hospital at Stony Brook, Long Island, New York. Currently, he is the Medical Director of Gastroenterology Cancers Prevention Clinic and an Associate Professor of Medicine in the Department of Gastroenterology at the University of Kansas Health System, Kansas City, KS. His primary research interests are cancer prevention and esophageal diseases. His endoscopic expertise for cancer prevention includes advanced imaging techniques for polyp and cancer detection, endoscopic mucosal resection and deep enteroscopy. His endoscopic expertise for esophageal function testing includes tests such as BRAVO pH testing, high-resolution manometry and Endoflip™ impedance planimetry system.
